SGAIM History
1985 Beginnings
SGAIM was constituted as Sociedad General de Archivos S.A with the objective of safekeeping the documents our clients entrusted to us, and we became the first company in Spain to carry out this activity.
1991 The Beginning of the Change
Important improvements were carried out focused on customer satisfaction by increasing quality, security and speed in the services and complementing them with other new services. New initiatives were developed to extend the documental management service.
1996 The Change
After in-depth research on markets in other countries, mainly in the US, we based our services on electronic information management. We made a commitment to follow this line of action and designed the corresponding strategic plan.
1998 People are the Future
A plan for staff selection and training was set up, which was designed to take on the new challenges, with the premise that, in order to introduce new services and increase quality, we would have to first improve our professionalism. At the same time we studied and developed technologies used in other countries and started specific collaborations in different applications.
2000 Technological Investment and Telecommunications
In line with our strategic plan, we improved our facilities and acquired new logistical material, hardware, non-conventional software, etc., with the aim of achieving a work system which would lead to an improvement in professionalism and an increase in our responsibility, our satisfaction and our bond with SGAIM to enable us to transmit these values to our clients.
2003-2004 SGA Information Management
Our clients contracted SGAIM outsourcing services in line with their needs, leaving them free to focus on their businesses.
Parallel to this, our client portfolio increased to more than 600.
2005-2006 Extending the Market
Driven by the needs of our clients, we started to work on different lines of business based in different European countries: Italy, Portugal, Germany, France, Belgium, Holland and England. In line with our innovative nature and in accordance with SGAIM's expansion and growth policy, the first business centre in Mexico City was inaugurated, to strengthen our presence in the Latin American market.
