SGAIM appoints Lorena Rojas as General Manager of its office in Peru

With extensive experience in the business management and administration sector, the Peruvian has become the General Manager of SGAIM’s first office in South America

Madrid, June 2010. Continuing its policy for international expansion and growth, SGAIM, as a company that introduces solutions for the electronic management of business content, opened its first office in South America in April in Lima (Peru).

Lorena Rojas studied Industrial Engineering at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (1986) specialising in Industrial Organisation in Spain (1989). She has developed her professional career in business management and administration, leading corporate projects of great important and regional scope. Furthermore, she has broad experience in introducing systems, improving processes and managing change.

Before being appointed General Manager of SGAIM Peru SAC, a position she has held since March 2010, Lorena Rojas worked as Director of Administration and Systems at the educational body SENATI in Peru, with responsibility in over 63 offices at national level. Prior to this, she held positions such as Director of Quality for the Telefónica Group for Peru and Ecuador and Director of Organisation and Systems within the same group, after her time at the Telefónica Group in Spain as Head of International Consultancy Projects.

This office, composed of 50 people, offers the Peruvian banking, insurance and large distribution sectors all of SGAIM’s services and products, whilst adapting them to the particular characteristics, regulations and laws of the local market. As SGAIM’s Assistant to CEO, Alberto Lepee, points out “it is important to know the markets in which we are immersed and who better to run our offices in Lima than a local person”.

The new office in Peru is set within SGAIM’s expansion plan which also includes other Latin Americans countries such as Colombia, Brazil or Chile.
